The purpose of the WISA Technical Goalkeeper Academy is to create a mastery environment in which goalkeepers can learn, develop and refine their technical skills to the highest of levels, in pursuit of their playing ambitions. This single day event allows for a range of technical components to be focused upon, with each day event focusing on a different set of techincal skills, essential to the goalkeepers role. The way in which the WISA Goalkeeper Academy does this is through a high repetition environment, with individual coaching points tailored to each goalkeeper for their stage of development (chronological, psychological and physiological).
The curriculum for each event is scheduled prior to each camp in order to provide a well rounded experience throughout the day, as well as considering the energy output required for certain activities. Each event is designed to accommodate for weather conditions of certain season's in the Carolina's, and the ability to utilize both the game and practice fields as well as turf fields allows for the events to go ahead all year round.
These events are open to goalkeepers graduating High School in 2022 - 2027
(if you have a son/daughter who falls outside of these years please reach out to Sam Raper at: sa.raper644@wingate.edu)
